Columbia University will now expel students who are occupying Hamilton Hall. Last night, protesters broke into a building on campus and then vandalized it before blockading entrances. The University says that they have also begun suspending students who haven’t left the encampment yet. Saying that they have been given the opportunity to leave peacefully and that these actions are now in response to the actions of protesters, not their cause. Also saying that the encampments have created a threatening environment for many Jewish students, are a noisy distraction, and also a Title 9 violation.
